wash, rinse, repeat

Temperatures are supposed to be in the 60's this week in Cedar. I know we live in a desert, and I know we need "moisture", but I am loving this indian summer/fall? If this is thanks to global warming I am going to start running my car around the clock, and spraying my hair with aerosol freeze hold every morning.

You know things are boring when you actually start of a post by talking about the weather - just insta go to small talk topics. The thing is, things are super monotonous here, Wake up, go to school (try to remember to eat), do homework, sleep. The cycle isn't vicious, but it is kind of a grind sometimes.

Emily graduates in May! ...I do not graduate in May. We are so excited for Emily to be done, but mostly she is excited. I'm so proud of her, she did what I haven't done yet. Way to go wifey!

Being a few hours from (most of our) family has not always been fun, but it's cool to kind of strike out on your own together - to build a new life without familiarity. Regardless of how long we stay down here, I am grateful we did it.

No one told me that growing up just meant shouldering more responsibility...turns out my mind still feels like it's 17 years old, but now there are all sorts of grown up things to do and decide. Just growing pains I guess.

Hope this post doesn't sound like a downer - we are great, and we are excited for christmas! The last week of class this semester starts today! That's a good feeling.

Zions, Zion's, Zions'

Tomorrow I find out if I get the job I have been interviewing for for the past 2 weeks. I don't believe I've ever been so apprehensive.

If it isn't to be, I'd just like to get the inevitable nervous breakdown out of the way so I can feel better about it.

If it is to be, I'd like to be able to eat and sleep and pass the occasional bowel movement again.

Cross your fingers for me

'Til there was you

Last night Emily and I looked at houses for an hour or more. Hopefully, we will be purchasing one of those in Brigham City in the next 12 months or so.

Then we climbed into bed and talked with our heads on our pillows till nearly 3 AM. It's really nice to be married to your very best friend.

Being married is an adventure, and I don't know much about it 'cause I just started out, but I am a lucky guy, that much I know.

ALSO!

Emily scored this sweet coffee table - for free

We made this bowl from a useless vinyl LP. We're going to put Werther's Originals in it. Cool?

Winter time in a Summertown

Sometimes I click the 'New Post' button and just stare at the screen for awhile - that happened right now.

Winter is getting old, I am looking forward to spring break and a little bit of sun. I know it comes with the territory when you live in Logan, but the winters here seem to get longer each year. After this one is over we will only have ONE MORE, and then we will escape this place!

10 years ago, if you would have told me that in five years I would be at USU I would have called you crazy. If 5 years ago you would have told me that I would be married I would have called you crazier. But that's the way things have worked, and as I look back it is easier to see a plan in it all, at least, I like to think I can see a plan in it all.

Things are going very well up here, we are very happy and are working hard to get to the places we would one day like to be.

Also, the Wallflowers are recording another album...so that's awesome.
